Parkinson’s Exercise

Everyone with Parkinson’s should exercise. It is important for the general health and well-being in addition to re-educating the body to regain proper movement. Parkinson’s exercises are designed specifically to target Parkinson’s Diesease symptoms. The movements taught in this session are the building blocks for everyday movement and are performed in multiple planes and range. Patients will learn how to use these functional exercises to target each symptom that interferes with everyday movement.

Exercise is proven to slow the progression of Parkinson’s Diesease symptoms when performed at least 3 times per week. Our experienced physiotherapist will lead the patient through special movements that will get them moving and feeling better from the very first session. Patients observes that they will gain more energy, have improved voice volume, move with less stiffness and stopping, and improved safety from falls, just to name a few of the benefits.

Exercise really can make a difference in the quality of life a Parkinson’s Diesease patient. Our senior physiotherapist, Linda Wee, has extensive experience treating patients with Parkinson’s Disease with exercises that caters and supports a patient’s journey in achieving their goals.
